Code 95 is a document necessary for truck drivers who wish to be professionally employed within Europe. It is also required for drivers from Ukraine and other countries outside of the EU.

Costs
Professional driving skills are becoming more important in a society that places a high value on transport, both for economic activity and for the transportation of people and goods. But acquiring this skill isn't affordable. There are numerous costs to consider, such as the cost of training and the test. In the Netherlands the cost for getting Code 95 can be as high as 3000 euros. Fortunately, the expenses associated with the process of getting this certificate are lower in Poland, where they can be as low as 1500 to 2000 PLN.
For truck drivers, an Code 95 certificate is necessary to drive trucks weighing more than 7.5 tons in Europe. The certificate is valid for 5 years and must be added to the driver's license category C or C+E. It can also be added to C1 or C1E licences which permits the driver to drive lighter trailer combinations.
You must be able to pass a psychological test as well as a medical examination to receive an Code 95 Certificate. After the course is completed, you will receive a plastic Code 95 Certificate that can be added to your driving license. The cost of the course includes a medical examination, PKZ service, payment for the plastic Code 95 certificate, and theoretical lessons.
The cost of a Code 95 Certificate is the same as other types of driving courses. Moreover, it is important to note that this course has to be conducted at a driving school that is certified by the CBR. The CBR has strict guidelines that instructors must follow. For example in the event that students are absent from the class, the instructor must report it to the CBR immediately.
After the course, the student must visit the Road Traffic Safety Directorate to apply for a new licence. The deadline for replacing the licence is six month from the date the course was completed. This requirement is intended to ensure that the driver is at the required level of expertise and knowledge required to operate an automobile that is heavy. The driver must also be aware of how to read the speed limits and kilometer signs posted on the road.
Training options
The code 95 on a driver's license signifies that you have completed the mandatory instruction to drive buses or trucks professionally. It is a requirement you need to fulfill every five years to renew your driving license. The training program is a periodical requirement that requires 35 hours of classes and can be done at the driving school or at home (e-learning). The course can be spread out over a five-year period. The tuition is typically covered by your employer.
There are two kinds of training available for Code 95: the long course and the short course. The long course lasts for about four weeks, and it concludes with a governmental test. After passing the test, you will receive an ID card in plastic. The card must be submitted into the database of unification European certificates. The institution where you attended will then send it to the database. The card will be processed within 14 days.
The cost of the long course is around 2,000 PLN and the exam costs 300 PLN. You will have to pay an additional fee to the school for them to enter your certificate to the unified European database. After the card is issued, you can collect it from the school.
To be able to provide a course of training that issue Code 95, you must adhere to certain procedures as trainer. First, you must submit a training plan to the CBR. This training plan must be approved prior to the start of classes. You will also need to follow a number of other strict guidelines during the course.
After you have successfully completed the training, you will be awarded a certificate of regular training from the CBR. You can then send this to the RDW. After submitting the form successfully you'll be able renew your license with the municipality. If you don't renew your license by the expiry date, you won't be able to legally drive for more than 12 hours a week. You'll have to take another training course if wish to drive more than 12 hours per week.
Exams
You must pass both the theory and practical tests to earn the code 95 on your license. These tests can be completed separately or together with the acquisition of the basic category license at an driving school. On successful completion of the exam, you will receive a certificate aswell with a code 95 card. The card is valid for five years and has to be renewed by the expiration date.
Based on the training program and the type of training you choose, you can opt for short or long courses for the code 95 exam. The long course lasts for about four weeks and ends with a governmental test. In this test, you are asked to answer 30 questions regarding the topics covered in your classes.
You must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years following passing the code 95 test. This can be accomplished in the country where you reside or where you work. The instructor will conduct the regular training. The CBR provides an online tool to locate a teacher. After you have completed the course you will be awarded a certificate from your teacher and the CBR. The CBR will inform the RDW that you have completed your training.

To drive a truck, you must possess the driver's licence C. This is the biggest driver's license in Europe. In the Netherlands, the requirement is that you pass the initial qualification for professional drivers at the Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing (Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen, or CBR, in Dutch). You also must pass an examination for medical reasons.
You also need a driving licence C or D for buses as well as passenger cars. The requirements for bus drivers are different than truck drivers and passenger cars, since they must pass a written test and an oral test. They also need to have the code85 that is a professional certification.
Requirements
The purchase of a driver's licence with code 95 is a must for truck drivers looking to work in the Netherlands. The code on a driver's license proves that they meet the (training) requirements for professional truck drivers (Certificate of Professional Competence, Verklaring van Vakbekwaamheid). Truck drivers cannot work for more than 12 hours per week without it.
